Cloisonne
Each piece takes five to six weeks to complete. First, I shape the wire and glue it to the surface board.
The ancient art of cloisonne finds new expression with acrylic mediums.
Then I fill in the shapes with a variety of acrylic mediums. While the mediums are wet I use objects with interesting shapes to create textures.
Once dry, I clean the wire. Then I apply the color. I clean the wire again and finish the piece with multiple layers of polymer.
